That efficiency is worth modeling at volume. A square bottle ships meaningfully more units per container than a round bottle of the same capacity, which on ocean freight from Asia is a real line item.

A molding consideration worth knowing before you commit: square bottles are harder to blow evenly than round ones. Material tends to thin at the corners because that is where the parison stretches furthest. We compensate with preform design and blow profile, but square tooling is more expensive to cut and more sensitive to process drift than a round equivalent. Budget accordingly if you are going custom.
